London Grant (Wolfgang): London Grant (Jim): At 19 years old, Derek is well versed in the world of theatre/performance. Deciding at a young age that acting was his true passion, he would later spend most of his later high school days perfecting his acting ability on the stage of Palo Verde High School in Las Vegas, NV. This 2007 graduate wasted little time in getting his feet wet in the "real" acting world. He spent some valuable time in Los Angeles and then made it back to Las Vegas , just in time to land the plum role of Jim Morrison. The character of Jim Morrison is one that Derek can relate to, after all who doesn’t want to be The Lizard King? If only for one night.

While this may be his first large role outside of high school, expect to see him in the near future, the very near future.

London can be contacted at derek_tinker@yahoo.com
Cesar Chacon (Tommy Gnosis): Like most artists, Caesar got his start as a performer at an early age. He quickly made a name for himself, singing and dancing for enthusiastic audiences in Orange County. This allowed him to hone his craft. After moving to Las Vegas as an adolescent, fate would lend a hand when Cesar won 1st place in an all-city talent show. This lead to a lucrative modeling contract with a large agency. Which in turn lead to mass exposure, as Cesar began to appear in print ads and runway shows.

Being the multi-facet person that he is, Cesar wasn't content just being a model. He knew he needed to exercise his other gifts. This lead to his immersion into Salsa, Jazz, Hip- Hop dancing, and Rock music. Where he discovered that his naturally raspy voice, gave him a true and authentic Punk Rock sound.

Cesar's other disciplines include boxing, hiking, and swimming. These activities ( along with good genes) help to keep his lean physique firmed, toned, and in shape. Which is exactly what you need when undertaking a physically demanding show such as HEDWIG. Cesar is certainly up for the challenge!

As always, Cesar dedicates his performance to the memory of his beautiful mother, Ana Bertha Chacon.

Cesar can be contacted at cdaneal@yahoo.com

Mike Matthews (Jacek/Bass Guitar): My goal is to play concerts that people will remember for a lifetime.

Through out my 21 year career, as a 32 year old Bassist I've played in R&B,rock Jazz fusion, Jazz, smooth jazz,funk,hip-hop,Cuban and Reggae Bands.

I graduated from Frederick Douglass High School Music School in Baltimore MD). Studied harmony and theory with Gary Thomas (head of the Jazz department at Peabody music conservatory). Studied double bass with Hampton Childress (principle bassist with Baltimore Symphony). Also studied upright bass with Kedah Betts, Steve Noversel, Charles Fambrough, Ray Drummond, Paul Brown, Tom Baldwin, and Herman Barney.

Studied electric bass with Kevin Walker (currently Kevin works with Justin Timberlake. He also played with Prince,: Patti Label, Angela Bofield, and many others). Kevin taught me a lot about laying in the pocket and laying down the groove,as well as having a good team spirit attitude, and making quick adjustments. He also taught me how to work with the manager and the star of the show. Following his advice has made me successful in all of the bands I've worked with. I was also mentored by and played with Dennis Chambers (Drummer with Santana).

I've studied and played Bass with: Gary Thomas (sax for Miles Davis), Greg Osby (international sax player), Greg Tardy (international sax player), Cyrus Chestnut (international piano player), Gary Bartz (international sax Player), Kelly Shepherd (international sax Player), O'Donnell Levy (blues), Mark Grouse (alto sax), Dave Hollands' big band), Antonio Hart (tennor sax Dave Hollands' big band)

I've laid down bass tracks for Cisco from Dunhill. Traveled with hip-hop band Sirius B. We opened shows for J-Z, Isis, Dru Hill, Fertile Ground, Prophet Jones, and many others including rock and light rock bands.

Dave Haertel (Skszp/Keyboards): With an incredible list of teachers Dave has studied with, he has added Bob Rosario, pianist for Bobby Darin, Tony Orlando, Lou Priema. “Bob is one of the most talented performers I have ever studied with, him and a great player from the San Francisco Bay Area, Frank Martin, Narada Michael Walken, Whitney Houston, Joel Smith, Will Kennedy, etc. These two are also the humblest. Just a great inspiration.”

Dave, a San Francisco native, has played with the best. “There is so much talent in the San Francisco Bay Area”, Dave says. “Skip Mesquite, the original sax player for Tower of Power is a long time friend of mine whom I don’t see often enough because he lives in the Bay Area.”

“My first real national tour was with Lydia Pense and Cold Blood (Warner Brothers 1968)”. When I got the call to work with Cold Blood I was thrilled to join such a great venue. I toured with them for 5 years mostly in the Washing State and California areas. Lydia is still belting out in the Bay Area.”
